Publication Ethics and Policies

The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. We adhere to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing to ensure integrity in our scholarly publishing process. Our policies are designed to foster responsible research conduct, maintain the accuracy and reliability of the scholarly record, and ensure fair and transparent processes for authors, reviewers, and readers. 

  1. Allegations of Misconduct
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" has a clearly defined procedure for handling allegations of misconduct, regardless of how they are brought to the journal's attention. The journal takes all allegations seriously and strives to investigate them promptly and appropriately, taking necessary actions. This includes considering allegations from whistleblowers.

  2. Authorship and Co-authorship
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" requires a clear policy regarding authorship and co-authorship, ensuring transparency about who has contributed and in what capacity. The journal addresses potential authorship disputes in a timely and fair manner.

  3. Complaints and Appeals
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" has a clearly written procedure for handling complaints about the journal, its staff, editorial board, or publisher. The journal takes all complaints seriously and aims to resolve them fairly and impartially.

  4. Conflicts of Interest / Competing Interests
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" defines conflicts of interest and establishes procedures for managing conflicts of interest for authors, reviewers, editors, journals, and publishers. The journal ensures the disclosure of any conflicts of interest and their proper management.

  5. Data and Reproducibility
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" establishes data availability rules and encourages the use of reporting guidelines and the registration of clinical trials and other studies in accordance with standard practices in the relevant disciplines. The journal promotes transparency and reproducibility in research.

  6. Ethical Oversight
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" implements ethical oversight through policies regarding publication consent, publishing on vulnerable populations, ethical research involving animals, ethical research involving human participants, handling confidential data, and ethical business/marketing practices.

  7. Intellectual Property
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" has a clear policy on intellectual property, copyright, and publication licensing, which is communicated to authors. The journal ensures that authors are aware of the pre-publication preparation policy and what is considered plagiarism and duplicate publications.

  8. Journal Management
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" ensures a structured infrastructure, transparent policies, no APC fees, and open access to publications. The journal uses AntiPlagiat for plagiarism checking, Grammarly for proofreading, and recommends Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero for reference management. The website is secured with HTTPS and SSL protocols, ensuring the security of article submission and publication processes. The journal is regularly updated to meet industry standards.

  9. Review Process
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" applies a double-blind peer review procedure, where both the authors' and reviewers' identities remain anonymous. The journal assigns at least two reviewers, with the possibility of adding more if necessary, to ensure thoroughness and impartiality in manuscript evaluation.

  10. Post-publication Discussions and Corrections
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" allows for post-publication discussions of articles through editor letters, debates on the website, or external moderated platforms. The journal has mechanisms for correcting, revising, or retracting articles post-publication as necessary.

  11. Archiving Policy
    The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" adheres to an archiving policy aimed at preserving published articles in reputable digital archives, ensuring their long-term accessibility. The journal may collaborate with services such as PKP PN Archiving Service and Portico for archiving.

  12. Open Access Policy
    "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" follows an open access policy, allowing free and unrestricted access to its published articles. The journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike (CC-BY) license to ensure authors' rights and non-commercial sharing and adaptation of the content.
