Excitation of isomeric states in the reactions (γ, n) and (n, 2n) on the 59Co nucleus

FULL TEXT:

Abstract

The cross sections for the formation of isomeric states in the reactions (γ, n) and (n, 2n) on the 59Co nuclei were measured using the induced activity method. The energy dependencies of the isomeric ratio of the yields of the (γ, n) reactions in the energy range of 1435 MeV with a step of 1 MeV were obtained. The experimental results are compared with the data from other studies and the TALYS-1.6 calculations.
