This policy defines the principles of governance, operational structure, financial model, and ethical commitments underlying the management of the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics." We adhere to the Core Principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

    Journal management encompasses all strategic, operational, editorial, and financial aspects necessary for the sustainable and ethical functioning of the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics." Key components include:

  • Governance and Ownership: The formal structure and ultimate responsibility for the journal.

  • Editorial Independence: The principle that editorial decisions are made without undue external influence.

  • Financial Model: Sources of funding and income that support the journal’s activities, as well as policies regarding fees.

  • Operational Processes: Manuscript submission, peer review, production, publication, and archiving workflows.

  • Editorial Board and Governance: Selection, roles, responsibilities, and support for individuals involved in the editorial process.

  • Ethical Behavior: Adherence to ethical standards in all aspects of the journal’s operations, including marketing and business practices.

  • Governance and Ownership:

    • The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" is owned by the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek and published by I-EDU GROUP LLC.

    • Despite the support of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek, the editorial activities of the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" are governed by its editorial board and editor-in-chief to ensure academic integrity.

  • Editorial Independence:

    • The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" adheres to the principle of strict editorial independence. All decisions regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection are made solely based on their scientific merit, including scientific justification, originality, clarity of presentation, relevance to the journal’s scope, and adherence to ethical standards.

    • These decisions are made by the editor-in-chief and appointed editors, independent of the journal’s owner (National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek), sponsors, or any commercial, political, or personal interests. The editor-in-chief has full authority over the editorial content of the journal.

  • Financial Model and Revenue Sources:

    • The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" is an open-access journal aimed at widely disseminating research findings without financial barriers for authors and readers.

    • To support our open access model, the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $100 USD for articles accepted for publication. There is no fee for manuscript submission. The APC covers expenses related to peer review, editing, article preparation, online hosting, and long-term archiving. For more details, please refer to our Author Fees Policy. However, in 2025, all expenses for authors will be covered by the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek, and the APC for authors will be waived.

    • The primary financial support for the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" comes from the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek. This support covers essential operational costs, including, among other things, the purchase and maintenance of plagiarism detection software, grammar-checking tools (e.g., Grammarly), digital object identifier (DOI) registration services, as well as online hosting and infrastructure.

    • This funding model ensures that editorial decisions will never be influenced by the ability or willingness of authors to pay.

  • Open Access Statement:

    • The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" provides immediate and unrestricted open access to all published content, allowing users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full-text articles free of charge, in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons (CC BY) license.

  • Editorial Board and Team:

    • The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" has an active and qualified editorial board, comprising recognized experts in the fields of industrial design, system optimization, and related areas.

    • The roles, duties, and terms of service for editorial board members are clearly defined.

    • The full names and affiliations of the editor-in-chief, editorial staff, and all members of the editorial board are publicly available on the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" website.

    • Compensation and support: Editorial board members who are employees of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek receive support as part of their university duties. Other national and international editorial board members and reviewers typically work on a voluntary basis, in line with common practice in scholarly publishing. This does not affect editorial decisions.

    • Advertising: Currently, the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" does not accept paid advertising on its website or in its articles. If this policy changes in the future, a clear and transparent advertising policy will be established, ensuring that advertisements are clearly separated from editorial content and do not influence editorial decisions.

    • Direct Marketing: Any direct marketing activities conducted by the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics," such as calls for submissions or announcements, will be appropriate, targeted, non-intrusive, and factually accurate, avoiding any misleading information for potential authors or readers.
