- Study of isomer output ratios and cross sections of reactions of type (γ,n) and (n,2n) on nuclei 110 ≤ A ≤ 144 (Mamayusupova Mukaddas, defended in 2011),
- Features of the excitation of isomeric states in the reactions (γ, n), (γ, 2n), (γ, p) and (n, 2n) in the energy range l0-35 MeV (Egamova Feruza , ongoing);
- Nuclear fusion processes in astrophysical compact objects (Akhmedov Saidmukhammad, ongoing)

- Fabrication and study of nanostructured semiconductor materials and composites
- Diluted magnetic semiconductors, such as GaMnAs, Si:Mn and ZnO doped by transition metals for spintronics applications.
