Open Access Policy

1. Introduction
The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" is firmly committed to the principle of open access to scientific research. We believe that providing free and broad access to research results promotes a wider global exchange of knowledge, accelerates scientific discoveries, fosters educational development, and maximizes the social and economic impact of research. This policy outlines the commitment of the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" to provide unrestricted access to the published articles in line with the mission of our publisher – I-EDU GROUP LLC – to develop and disseminate knowledge.

2. Definition of Open Access
The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" adheres to the principles of open access, meaning that all published articles become permanently and freely available online immediately upon publication, with no subscription fee or registration barriers. Users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of these articles, index them, transmit them in machine-readable form, or use them for any other lawful purpose as defined by the applicable Creative Commons license, without prior permission from the publisher or author.

3. Policy Details

  • Free and Immediate Access: All research articles, technical and conceptual papers, and practical reports published in the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" are available for free viewing and downloading by users worldwide immediately after publication. No embargo is applied.

  • Author Copyrights and Licensing:

    • Authors publishing in the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" retain the copyrights to their work.

    • All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license. This license allows others to:

      • Share – copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

      • Adapt – remix, transform, and build upon the material.

    • Under the following conditions:

      • Attribution (BY): Users must give appropriate credit to the author(s) and the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" as the original source of the publication, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.

    • The specific terms of the license are clearly stated in each published article.

  • Article Processing Charges (APC):

    • To support our open access publication model, the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $100 USD for manuscripts accepted for publication. There is no fee for manuscript submission. The APC covers expenses related to peer review, editing, article preparation, online hosting, and long-term archiving. For more details, refer to our Author Fees Policy.

    • However, in 2025, all expenses for authors will be covered by the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek, and the APC will be waived for authors.

    • The journal’s operational costs, including the peer review system, online hosting, indexing, DOI registration, and the purchase of tools such as Antiplagiat and Grammarly, are covered by the financial support of the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulughbek.

  • User Rights and Permitted Reuse:

    • The CC BY license provides users with significant rights for reuse, provided the terms of the license (attribution and redistribution under the same terms) are followed. This promotes widespread dissemination and use of research findings.

  • Benefits of Open Access:

    • For Authors: Increased visibility, readability, and citation of their work; broader global impact; more active public engagement; and compliance with the open access requirements of many funding organizations.

    • For the Research Community and Society: Faster pace of research and innovation; equal access to knowledge regardless of geographical location or institutional affiliation; enhanced opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration; and higher returns on public investment in research.

  • Compliance with Sponsor Requirements:

    • The open access model of the "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics," copyright retention, and CC BY licensing have been developed in consideration of the open access policies of many research-funding organizations and institutions worldwide. Authors are encouraged to review the requirements of their sponsors.

The "Uzbek Journal of Modern Physics" believes that open and unrestricted access to scientific research is crucial for the development of knowledge, innovation, and public well-being.
